Summer is just around the corner! So instead of stopping by your local Starbucks in the morning for a sugar filled coffee, or convincing yourself that stopping at a smoothie store and ingesting smoothies full of preservatives, why not take 5-10 minutes out of your morning, and make your own breakfast smoothie? This week, I decided to start exploring new smoothie recipes to kick-start my day. The recipe below is full of flavor and packed with vitamin C! Enjoy!
Take a blender of some sort, and add ½ cup of diced mangos. Frozen is okay, but fresh mangos will give you more flavor
Dice ½ cup of pineapple or use frozen. Add to blender cup
Remove the crown (steam) off of 5 stawberries, and add to blender cup
Take about 2 large navel oranges and squeeze for fresh orange juice. Add one cup of fresh orange juice to the blender cup
Add 2 Tbsp of flaxseed to the blender cup
Blend and Enjoy!
