DIY Rose & Lavender Bath Salts

November 19, 2018

Have you ever wanted to escape to a spa retreat after a long day, but time or resources just don't permit you to do so? Whether you're a student, full-time worker, or a stay-at-home parent, all of us can settle for the next best thing and make our own spa at home. One of my favorite ways to do so is turning my tub into a luxury oasis using an all natural bath soak.

Soaking in a hot bath is a great way to fight the winter chill or just relax. In this write-up, I will share with you two of my favorite bath salts.

Pink Himalayan Jasmine & Rose Sea Salt Soak

This Jasmine Rose Bath Salt is a simple recipe of Himalayan Sea Salt, which is known for its skin-loving properties, essential oils, epsom salt, and fresh roses. Ingredients and instructions are below:

Ingredients

3 oz. Mason Jars (I ordered a 12 pack off of Amazon here)

1 cup of Dr. Teals Pink Himalayan Epsom Salt - Order here from Amazon

.5 cup of coarse Sea Salt - Order here from Amazon

3 drops of Jasmine essential oil

5 drops of rose essential oil

*Note the number of drops of oil depends on how strong you want the scent to be

Dried rose petals (keep these small to avoid drain issues in your tub)

Large Glass Bowl

Metal Mixing Spoon

Instructions

1. Take a large bowl (preferably glass), and combine all of your dry ingredients: Pink Himalayan Epsom Salt, coarse sea salt, and dry rose petals. Mix with a metal spoon.

2. Add your essential oils, depending on your scent desire. I used 3 drops of jasmine essential oil, and 5 drops of rose essential oil. Mix again.

3. Transfer your bath salt into an airtight mason jar for longterm storage, or give them away as gifts. The 3 oz jars are the perfect serving size for one bath retreat. Enjoy!
